In an increasingly uncertain maritime context, the decarbonization of container transport is a difficult subject to grasp given the opacity of the trajectories of maritime carriers and the uncertainty of future solutions.

Initiated in June 2021 within the framework of the FRANCE SUPPLY CHAIN and AUTF associations, this initiative, which today brings together 22 international shippers, has made it possible to launch a call for tenders in 2022 to deploy two transport lines between Europe and the United States in 2025, using container ships propelled mainly by sail, which will reduce the carbon footprint by 50%.

It is a new stage, full of promise, that could only be achieved through this collaboration.

They will be followed by the opening of new routes to Asia, West and Central Africa.
