THE DIGITAL & TECHNOLOGIES LAB

A COMMUNITY AT THE SERVICE OF SUPPLY CHAIN TRANSFORMATION

Just as fundamental as it is complex, the subject of the digitalization of the supply chain is at the heart of France Supply Chain's thinking and actions. Focus on its dedicated Lab, with its manager François Martin-Festa, VP End to End Offer Data of the Schneider Electric group.

"Creating a forum for exchange, discussion and investigation on the digital transformation" was the primary ambition of the Digital Lab and its instigator Jean-Michel Guarneri, former President of Aslog. To accelerate the development of this community and before handing over to his successor, Yann de Feraudy, the latter will call on François Martin-Festa of the Schneider Electric group to lead the Lab in the spring of 2019. " Our ambition was to bring together major French industrialists around their digital issues and to advance the awareness, knowledge and experience sharing of these members", underlines François Martin-Festa.

THEMES

THE DIGITALIZATION OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN

The first project initiated by the Lab is materialized by the realization of a digital panorama, published in June 2019 and presented at the congress of the association: "this work has brought together a number of players, in particular Wavestone, Hardis and industrialists.".

Starting in September, the Lab unveils an annual program and gradually welcomes new members, while being structured around six major themes:

Thanks to this organization,
, the community now includes about fifteen industrialists and consultants.

On this last point, we have noted that many companies innovate, set up POCs (''proof of Concept''), but very few then go to scale. We want to accompany them in this transition. In our view, digital represents a set of capabilities that can fundamentally transform the supply chain in terms of the value it can bring to the customer, or to the company in terms of efficiency and resilience.

We have structured ourselves by having a leader emerge on each of the 6 chosen themes. We meet every six weeks, coordinate our agendas and each of us discusses the news and progress of his or her sub-lab.

ACTIONS TO GUIDE

AND ANIMATE A DIGITAL COMMUNITY

Through these six axes, the Digital and Technologies Lab of France Supply Chain intends to think about improving the knowledge of its members but also and above all to try to bring a concrete entry point for companies around use cases, meetings, testimonials, successful or not, and to offer in fine "a forum cleared of all mercantile considerations", as François Martin-Festa put it. With two new members from the Rexel and Decathlon groups joining the LAB at the end of the year, the LAB will continue in 2021 to animate and question the community through a dozen conferences, exchanges and reflections:

Our vocation is to participate actively and sustainably in this digital awareness and the need to place the subject at the heart of our organizations.
