France Supply Chain by Aslog launches “Nothing Happens by Chance: The Supply Chain Totem,” a comic book written by young people for young people

Paris, October 12, 2026 – France Supply Chain by Aslog is launching “Nothing Happens by Chance: The Supply Chain Totem,” a comic book designed to introduce young people to the careers and world of supply chain management. Created by the association’s Youth Lab, with support from Acolyt, FM Logistic, La Poste, and Louis Vuitton, this free comic book is aimed primarily at high school students, college students, and young people considering their career paths. Its goal is to present, in a practical and educational way, a sector with a bright future that plays a role in many areas of daily life—from industry to healthcare, including retail, luxury goods, sports, events, defense, and humanitarian aid.

Comic Books as a Medium for Inspiring Vocations

This initiative stemmed from an observation shared by several members of the Lab Jeunes: the supply chain was introduced late in their studies, without them fully grasping the breadth of the sector. This gave rise to the idea of a comic book: to make the supply chain more accessible and bring it to life in a concrete way. Author and illustrator Tess Kinski brought the project to life.

“Through this comic book, we wanted to create the resource we wish we’d had when we were younger. Learning about the supply chain earlier would have allowed us to make more informed choices, pursue an academic path more focused on these careers, andacquire certain key skills earlier to prepare for our entry into the professional world. It is this opportunity that we now want to offer to young people who are thinking about their career paths. ” — France Supply Chain’s Youth Lab

A vital sector with a wide range of careers and career paths

Every day, the supply chain helps ensure the availability of the products and services we depend on, and behind the scenes, many people are involved in the various links of the chain. The supply chain brings together expertise in a wide range of fields: operations, digital technology, customer service, finance, corporate social responsibility, strategy, and planning.

Educational paths are also diverse. They may include a general or vocational high school diploma, business programs, engineering schools, or university programs. The supply chain sector thus offers a particularly rich professional landscape, with career opportunities in numerous industries and environments. It provides a variety of career paths—some of which are international—and offers opportunities to candidates whose backgrounds do not necessarily follow the most traditional academic paths.

The Supply Chain at the Heart of Tomorrow's Major Challenges

The comic also offers insight into the transformations taking place in the sector, particularly in the areas of sustainable supply chains and innovation. Decarbonization, the circular economy, digitalization, technological innovations, and social and geopolitical challenges: supply chain professionals are directly confronted with the major transformations that are reshaping businesses and their environment.

As you turn the pages, the sector proves to be fascinating for those with a curious mind who want to combine action, innovation, and impact.

A Free Comic Book for High School Students, College Students, and Career Counselors

To make this resource accessible to as many people as possible, France Supply Chain was able to rely on four committed sponsors ( Acolyt, FM Logistic, Log’Issimo (La Poste Group), and Louis Vuitton), whose shared goal is to introduce people to these careers, inspire future professionals, and highlight their impact on everyday life.

The comic will be made available for free in several ways:

  • 1,000 print copies: intended for students throughout mainland France
  • Digital version: available on the France Supply Chain website;
  • Advisors: The comic book may be made available to them to raise awareness among students;
  • Guidance counselors: The comic book may be shared with the relevant professionals;
  • Free event: A presentation will provide an introduction to the supply chain, the roles within it, and the various career paths available.

A QR code included in the book will also provide access to its digital version.
