The Master 2 Research in Management Sciences at Aix-Marseille provides training in research, consulting and management, developing analytical, methodological, epistemological, ethical and communication skills.

Holders of a Bac+4 degree, Master 1 (240 ECTS) or equivalent (foreign diploma, VAE)

243 euros for French nationals, students holding a long-term resident card in France and nationals of the European Union, the European Economic Area (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein), Monaco, Andorra, Switzerland, residents of Quebec, as well as nationals of partially exempted countries: Differentiated fees for students from outside the European Union | Aix-Marseille Université (univ-amu.fr) 3770 euros in all other cases - with the possibility of reductions or exemptions depending on individual circumstances.

Main themes

This training course will enable you to develop seven key skills:
- Understand the main trends and theoretical frameworks in management science and management research, and their origins.
- Master the most advanced qualitative and quantitative research methodologies in management sciences.
- Understand the different epistemological approaches specific to management sciences and understand the scientific approach in the humanities and social sciences.
- Know how to carry out a literature review, construct a problem and use IT tools, from office applications to "artificial intelligence" to assist you, while understanding the limits and risks associated with the use of these tools.
- Understand the ethical and environmental issues involved in management science and management research in today's world.
- Communicate research in writing and orally in a rigorous, concise and structured manner.
- Learn about the research ecosystem, thesis funding opportunities and careers in teaching and research.

Pathways, types and recognition of diplomas

Bachelor

This internationally-recognized diploma (Bac +3) is often awarded by private or international schools, and provides specialized or general training in a specific field with a view to professional integration.

ECTS credits

Standardized European credit system facilitating the comparison and equivalence of diplomas within the European Union.

CEFDG

Set up in 2001, the CEFDG assesses the quality of business school courses, guaranteeing quality control of Master's degrees, under the supervision of the Ministries of the Economy and Higher Education.

Executive Master

Bac +5 diploma for experienced managers, often in continuing education, aimed at reinforcing management and strategy skills at an executive level.

Continuing education

Training for working professionals, enabling them to improve, retrain or acquire new skills while continuing their professional activity.

Master's degree

Awarded to certain Bac +5 diplomas, issued by the French government on the recommendation of the CEFDG, it facilitates European mobility without being confused with the national Master's degree, reserved for French universities.

License

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

1-year professional training program for experienced executives with 6 years' experience (10 years for the Executive MBA), often part-time and continuing education, unregulated but accredited by the AMBA for the best programs.

State recognition

It concerns the school as a whole (operations, pedagogy, premises, teachers), but does not certify diplomas, a role reserved for the Visa.
