Procurement Specialist (Permanent Position) – Agri-Food Industry

Carniato is seeking a Procurement Specialist (M/F) to join its Procurement and Forecasting Department on a permanent contract starting in January 2026.

Your Role:
Reporting to the Procurement and Forecasting Manager, your primary responsibility will be to source finished goods and raw materials based on our sales and inventory forecasts, using a defined portfolio of suppliers.

Main Responsibilities:
▪ Ensure product availability and manage inventory in accordance with established objectives
▪ Plan and monitor procurement for the assigned supplier/product portfolio
▪ Place purchase orders and schedule shipments with suppliers
▪ Organize inbound transportation from Italy and monitor delivery schedules
▪ Ensure that any issues are resolved upon receipt of goods
▪ Manage the procurement parameters for your products
▪ Analyze inventory coverage to prevent stockouts or overstocking
▪ Your key performance indicators are optimizing our service level and reducing our unsold/obsolete inventory
You will interact daily with suppliers, carriers, and the receiving and purchasing departments.
You’ll work in a diverse environment handling fresh, ultra-fresh, and room-temperature products across multiple warehouses and through various distribution channels (foodservice, supermarkets, institutional clients, etc.).

Your Profile:
▪ You hold a college degree (bac +3/5) with a specialization in logistics or supply chain
▪ You have at least 1 year of experience (ideally in the agri-food sector)
▪ You are proficient in Excel (pivot tables, advanced lookups) and database management
▪ You have an aptitude for numbers or IT tools
Your analytical skills, attention to detail, responsiveness, and interpersonal skills will be key assets in successfully carrying out your assignments.
You speak English and/or Italian.
