Behind the scenes

October marks a turning point for the permanent team: the departure of Cassandre 😢, our communications trainee for the past 2 years! She will have initiated the professionalization of the association's communications and brought her help to every member of the team, always with a smile, a zest for life and her touch of Oriental-Parisian wisdom.
Life is made up of encounters, and Cassandre is once again proof of this. It's with great emotion that we wish her the best of luck on the road ahead, and many rich discoveries on the other side of the Atlantic.
See you soon for a drink, a café-crème or a lunch break at the Palace!

The actors
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results".
Since our last issue, the editorial by our Chairman, Yann de Feraudy , has appeared on Voxlog and generated a great deal of enthusiastic response. The message of this paper is summed up quite well by the preceding quote, which we owe to Albert Einstein.
Let's look back at the proposals made in " Innovation in the Supply Chain: Slow Logistics " :
1️⃣ Slowing down flows: reduce the speed of heavy goods vehicles on freeways from 90 km/h to 80 km/h to reduce CO2 emissions (- 580 kT CO2 eq./year in France).
2️⃣ Reasonable delivery: opt for a 48-hour lead time to encourage pooling and inform consumers of the environmental impacts of "express" delivery.
3️⃣ Cost of carbon: value the tonne of carbon at €200 in the financial evaluation of projects from 2024.
4️⃣ Multimodality : reintroduce rail and value the choice of ecological solutions in the Eco-score.
5️⃣ Urban delivery: reorganize urban logistics with optimization models and calls for tender to maintain competition.
