The position spans multiple sites and plays a key role in ensuring smooth workflow, standardizing practices, and optimizing the supply chain as a whole.

Your responsibilities:
Inventory Management & Procurement

– Monitoring and analyzing inventory levels across the entire organization
– Managing shared and specific procurement needs
– Coordinating upstream and downstream flows to ensure optimal availability

Multi-Site Supply Chain Coordination
– Implementation and optimization of inter-warehouse transfers
– Organization and synchronization of operations during peak periods
– Liaison between sites and various internal teams

Supply Chain Projects
– Participation in the deployment of internal tools and solutions

Transport & Partner Relations
– Monitoring transport performance and handling disputes
– Participating in requests for proposals and communicating with suppliers/carriers

Operational Support & Analysis
– Providing support to teams at various sites as needed
– Data analysis and implementation of improvement plans

Qualifications
– Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation
– Significant experience (at least 5 years) in a logistics or supply chain role, ideally across multiple sites
– Ability to coordinate, organize, and lead cross-functional teams
– Comfortable working in the field and able to adapt quickly
– Attention to detail, self-reliance, and a sense of initiative
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Reporting to the Plant Manager and the Supply Chain Director at Verallia France, you will be responsible for all plant logistics as well as the procurement of consumables. As a member of the plant’s Executive Committee, you will lead a logistics team of about ten people (day shift and 5-day/8-hour shift).

Your main responsibilities:

Logistics management:

  • Manage and optimize the flow of production packaging and finished goods.
    Organize the removal and storage of finished goods in the Finished Goods Warehouse (FGW) upon completion of production and after sorting operations.
    Ensure the shipment of finished products according to customer orders, in compliance with current quality standards.
    Ensure the continuous supply of required packaging to the production and sorting lines.
    Manage internal flows between production and Quality Control operations (sorting, repalletizing, breakage, etc.).

Team management :

Support and develop the skills of the logistics team members.
Serve as the site’s logistics expert, acting as a coach and mentor on logistics matters.
Advise management on logistics issues and improvement projects.

Profile:

With a background in logistics, you have at least 5 years of experience in the industrial sector, preferably in a continuous-operation environment.

You are hands-on and well-versed in the challenges faced in the field. You have a solid understanding of logistics, are known for your leadership skills, and are able to bring teams together around projects.

Your interpersonal skills, ability to listen, diplomacy, and perseverance, along with your leadership qualities, will enable you to successfully carry out the tasks assigned to you.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Group Transportation Director, the Group Transportation Manager participates with ambition and rigor in the development and structuring of the Group Transportation Department in Europe.
