Urban Logistics Study Assistant F/H

Internship Background:

Logicités has been selected in the framework of the Call for Interest (AMI) Freight and Logistics of the Île-de-France region thanks to the BAC-IDF project (Database of Traffic Orders in Île-de-France), with the MC Ledger and ELV Mobilités firms.
The Île-de-France region includes one metropolis, one urban community, 19 agglomeration communities, and 32 communities of communes, bringing together 1,281 of the 1,268 communes in the region. This large number of players has necessarily led to a wide variety of decrees and principles adopted by the communes and local authorities to regulate the movement of vehicles carrying out deliveries and their parking. Taking into account environmental constraints, which are added to these already numerous rules, results in more complex and restrictive regulations for access to city centers.
The complexity of the regulations means that they are often poorly understood, difficult to anticipate in order to determine optimal routes and therefore poorly enforced.
The 3 companies have created a partnership to address this issue, with the ambition to design, develop and operate a digital platform centralizing traffic regulations in the Ile-de-France region: the BAC-IDF project.

Subject of the training course: Collection and analysis of the regulations governing the circulation of delivery vehicles in IDF

The Intern:

    • Collects traffic and parking bylaws from communities in the Ile-de-France region,
    • Consolidation of traffic and parking by-laws
    • Field visits and operational audits
    • Preparation and/or participation in meetings or workshops
    • Reports
    • Contacts with communities
    • Writing content, reports, studies or Powerpoint presentations
  • He/She participates in the preparation of events or content production:
    conferences, roundtables, seminars, training, articles.
  • Documents and exchanges are in French or English
  • This list of themes is not exclusive

Profile of the trainee sought

  • Minimum of 3 years of higher education
  • Specializations: Transport/mobility/logistics or land use/geography

Intern Technical Skills:

  • Office software (Pack office)
  • Knowledge of GIS software appreciated

Good knowledge of database and API operation is a plus. The "savoir-être" on this position is as important as the "savoir-faire". A strong autonomy is necessary, as well as a certain ease in writing. Being proactive, enterprising and curious are also assets for this position.

Internship supervision:

The position reports to the founder of Logicités, Jérôme Libeskind. He/she will work in close collaboration with Céline Guilloit, Logicités' design manager, as well as with partner design offices and experts.

Workplace:
18th district of Paris
In a co-working space
Travel in the Ile-de-France region, depending on assignments and appointments.
