For our client, a global industrial leader, we are looking for a Production & Projects Purchasing Manager, based in Gardanne (13).

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, your main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Define your department's purchasing strategy and objectives in line with those of the company
  • Supervise and lead a team of 5 people,
  • Set objectives, train and support department staff in their skills development
  • Conduct individual and professional interviews
  • Develop versatility and multi-skilling in your department
  • In liaison with the various departments, ensure that purchasing processes and best practices are correctly implemented by all customers.
  • Support your team in coordinating supplier relations in order to maintain a competitive, high-performance and available supplier panel and, where necessary, provide support in managing quality/safety alerts or disputes.
  • Draw up and monitor your department's budget and report on cost trends
  • Set up and monitor purchasing performance indicators and report to the Executive Committee
  • Ensure that purchasing procedures are rigorously applied by its teams and all customers.
  • Ensure communication with the company's business departments to promote best purchasing practices and challenge the existing supplier panel
  • Manage continuous improvement projects for purchasing processes and tools
  • Take direct responsibility for a large purchasing portfolio, including raw materials and utilities, intellectual services, waste recovery, etc.

Profile

With a BAC+5 in technology, business administration or purchasing, you have a minimum of 15 years' experience in purchasing in an industrial and international environment, including a team management dimension.

You have a thorough understanding of the purchasing process and the legal framework for purchasing contracts. You are able to make proposals.

Your level of English enables you to interact with international suppliers of raw materials and equipment.

You have strong cross-functional leadership skills, are proactive, tenacious and have a solid ability to convince, and you know how to evolve in a high-intensity day-to-day environment.

The Planning Manager plays an overall role in anticipating and steering the Manufacture's production and supply planning processes.

 

As the guarantor of the optimization of the load/capacity ratio of the Manufacture's production resources, you are in charge of :

  • Decide with your manager which levers to activate to achieve balance.
  • Work on adjusting resources according to production capacities and workload plans.
  • Arbitrate when necessary in the event of disruption to optimize satisfaction of internal and external customers.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the PIC (industrial and commercial plan) and lead the PDP (master production plan) with his teams and production teams.

Reporting to the Logistics Department and under the authority of the Planning and Supply Manager, your objective is to guarantee optimal planning of the Manufacture's production requirements over a rolling six-week horizon, in order to make products available to customers (internal/external) on time and in the right quantities.

  • Establish the master production plan (MPP) for several production sectors, ensuring that requirements are balanced with the Manufacture's production capacities.
  • Launch production orders and monitor their execution to meet deadlines set to satisfy internal and external customers (OTIF monitoring).
  • Provide customer service with visibility on incoming inventory.
  • Adjust and modify the production schedule according to any unforeseen circumstances that could compromise the delivery of an order.
  • Set up the CAPM so that the calculation of requirements is operational.

Profile:
